84th Annual World Trade Week Kickoff Breakfast

For more than 80 years, World Trade Week has been the most extensive and unique program of its kind in the entire country.

Dedicated to educating the public on the importance and positive impact of global trade on the local and national economy, World Trade Week is actually celebrated throughout the month of May with more than 40 international trade-related events hosted by partnering organizations in Southern California.

Jump-starting the month-long series of trade-related events is the Monday, May 3 WTW Kickoff Breakfast, organized by the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, which held the very first World Trade Week observance in 1927.

More than 500 guests - including members of the Los Angeles Consular Corps, business executives, federal government representatives, educators and others - are expected to attend the event, which will feature Dr. C. Fred Bergsten, Director, Peterson Institute for International Economics, as keynote speaker.

For more information on the breakfast or the calendar of World Trade Week events, call the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce at 213-580-7569.
