ABOUT PCT
In May 1792, Captain Robert Gray, an entrepreneurial Boston ship captain looking to expand the fur trade with Asia and Japan, reached the rugged coast of what is now Oregon. Discovering the great river he named for his ship, the Columbia, he was among the first to grasp the vast potential of the wild, fertile country that spread out before him. Within a few years, scores of like-minded resourceful traders followed in his wake creating new trade routes by both land and sea that opened the Pacific Coast to the world. But, while the times have changed, the spirit that Captain Gray embodied remains undiminished from the Anchorage air cargo hub and the high-tech labs of Vancouver and Silicon Valley to the rich cornucopia of California’s Central Valley and Seattle’s burgeoning aircraft industry. The Pacific Coast “thinks global” all the time and Pacific Coast Trade is there to provide international traders around the world with access to a professionally edited selection of trade-related news and developments from the broadest possible variety of sources throughout the region and the world. Accessible to readers around the world via Google, Yahoo and other major search engines, Pacific Coast Trade is a worthy successor to the highly successful CalTrade Report website. Designed for maximum utility and ease of navigation, the new Pacific Coast Trade “webzine” features a host of unique features including downloadable audio reports and interviews, a “China Watch” section and such useful tools such as an updated calendar of international business-related events and conferences, a listing of regional government and non-government trade resources, and a trade leads directory to help you expand your global reach. We hope Pacific Coast Trade meets your expectations and more and that you’ll make it a critical “must read” component of your global international business intelligence file.
